Hello friends! The weather has turned cold and breezy here in Wisconsin- I can’t complain, we’ve had a beautiful Fall! With the chilly weather, I decided to make chili and soup for our first Packer party at the new house! As it all turned out, it was nearly 60 degrees last Sunday and I felt like we needed to open windows to cool off enough to eat the warm goodies! Our friends brought so many yummy dishes, I just love a good potluck! The Packers vs. the Lions game was the craziest, sit on the edge of your seat kind of game I’ve ever seen! The game didn’t exactly go our way, we had a basement bathroom leak and the dog threw up on the new carpet in the basement! In spite of all the challenges, I still had a great time with our friends!!
We got so desperate to win, that we just threw this Packer collar on Bella- just hoping for some plays to go our way! No such luck!!
November is birthday season at our house! College boy (son#2) celebrated his 21st birthday this week! He will be home next week for Thanksgiving so we can spoil him then!
Hubby celebrated his birthday too! He turned the big 50! He celebrated by sitting in a 3 hour school board meeting that evening- WOO HOO! Party animal!
Once again, he partied hard core by visiting the surgery center for his colonoscopy on Thursday! Oh the perks of being 50! Happy to say that things were A okay! (Yes, he gave me permission to share this photo!)
Next time you see him, he would LOVE to show you the pictures that they took during the procedure! Ha!
Sweet Pea’s school had a HUGE pep rally at her school to introduce the school’s cheerleaders and basketball teams. Sweet Pea proved that you don’t actually need to wear shoes to make some 3 point shots! (Her participation was part of a contest.) If you know her personality at all, you would know that she was DYING during this game. She’s a shy type, and all eyes were on her! I’m loving the socks though!
Have you heard?? I won Mom of the Year this week! Yep, that’s what I felt like when I brought this home from Target the other day for Sweet Pea….One Direction’s newly released album!! Too bad the award only lasted for an afternoon- evidently unloading the dishwasher puts me back on “regular Mom” status!
We’ll be home for Thanksgiving, so next week’s blog will be a Thanksgiving Edition!! Blessings to you!! See you next week!
Your Packer/Soup Party looked like a real success. Good food, good company, and a sad loss for The Packers and all of the fans. Wait til next week, hey? Miss Bella looks so chic in her GB collar,. Sorry that it didn’t help. Happy Birthday to Mr. College son. He sure does look handsome in his huntin’ hat! And warm, too. Glad he has it for crossing campus during the long, cold Wisconsin winters. So glad that there was a good turnout for the board meeting. You both did a super job of presenting the issues. Hubby looks like a good patient and looks as if he had a little nap during the procedure. Glad he had an excellent report. Congratulations to SweetPea on her three pointers. Ya dun gud, girlfriend! And I am sure that you are enjoying your new CD. Thanks for the excellent week in review. Nice photos and enjoyed the narrative. “Love”
