I’m gonna be honest. It was a cooking week for me. If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you know how I LOVE to cook! Although it’s technically Spring, it still feels like Winter in our area, so I decided to make it a week of comfort food for dinner! Here is a lovely sampling of the things I made…some for dinner, some for breakfast, and the cookies are for my son’s “cook out “rehearsal dinner dessert!
Starting at the top left is my FAVORITE meatloaf recipe. Underneath the meatloaf you will see the breakfast burritos that I made. They are “chillin” in my freezer. They’re always good to fill your tummy when you need something substantial and quick for breakfast. Bottom left is chicken tetrazzini that I made…1/2 with mushrooms, half without (I was trying a new recipe.)
Last weekend we grilled some brats, added a broccoli, cauliflower deli salad, pasta salad and some baked pop chips! YUM!
Finally, I made 73 White Chocolate chip cookies and froze them for later in the month!
This week, Sweat Pea’s church youth group had a fun night, called “Wacked Out Night.” I have to say that she had a really hard time putting an outfit on that didn’t match! She was REALLY STRETCHED in trying to figure out a wacky hairdo. (can you say type A?) I loosened her up a little, helped with the outfit, hair and shoes and she was a perfectly “wacked out.”
Thursday was the most fabulous day!! It was dark, it was gloomy and rainy, but to me it was GREAT!
Son #1 gave his last BIG presentation at college (he graduates next weekend.) He had worked on it for 155 hours…yes, he kept track. I had the privilege to sit in and watch the presentation… I was one proud Momma!
Son #3 got his temps (driver’s permit) He can’t wait to get out on the road and DRIVE!!
Lots of new adventures in the future…. a wedding, a new daughter in law, a new driver..
and now some really crazy fun….purchasing a lot!!
