Our week started with a big treat…a trip to The Cheesecake Factory! It was just Hubby, Sweet Pea and I, so we had a nice dinner and then ended on a sweet note- White Chocolate, Caramel & Macadamia Nut Cheesecake! Oh, it was so decadent!
On the way home from dinner, we decided to wander into our old neighborhood. This was our very first home- we bought it in 1991. You could call it a house, but it really was a Home. We brought our first child home to this house. I was SO excited that it looked GREAT and that there were still kids living there now!
Son #3 started his college search this week. We visited a BEAUTIFUL University that is right on the banks of Lake Michigan. He had a chance to tour and talk with some professors in some of his fields of interest. The coolest part was that they had a front row, top notch, personalized parking sign (Yes, it had his name on it!) We felt welcomed to say the least!! Stay tuned for at least two more college tours this Summer!
Work at the new house seems to be picking up speed again. The hardwood floors were finished this week as well as some of the tile work has begun in the bathrooms. It’s so fun to go over every night and see the progress! Here’s what it looked like after the first day of installing the floors.
Along with all of these fun things, I did have a little scare this week. I had my annual mammogram and the clinic called me back to take a few more pictures and possibly have an ultrasound. As many, many thoughts raced through my mind about how my life could change, I remembered many of my friends that have fought cancer- they are my heroes! I went into the second appointment feeling secure and peaceful knowing that whatever God had for me, I could face it with confidence!
After another set of pictures were taken, it was determined that everything was fine and there was no need for an ultrasound. I was so thankful.
Well, that was it for my week! Hope yours was good! Enjoy the Holiday Weekend and be safe, y’all!

So glad that all is well with the mammogram. Thank you, God! Glad you enjoyed your tour of the college. It looks beautiful. Floors look very nice, too. I know that things are really going to go along quickly now. The Cheesecake factory looks like a wonderful place to eat. And last , but not least, I still think your new home is a beauty! Memories……
