Pancakes, Pancakes….get your pancakes! When Sweet Pea cooks breakfast, it’s always a treat. She desperately looked for some kind of pancake mix in the pantry but didn’t find any. I told her that it was possible to make it from “scratch.” We looked up a recipe on the computer and she mixed her little heart out and came up with these delicious pancakes! Her favorite is to make a pancake bar complete with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peanut butter, whipped cream and 2 different kinds of syrups! What a great way to start the week!! *please note the snoozing dog in the background!! haha!
Later that day, hubby and I went for a walk with our dogs. My son and his fiance are considering having post-wedding photos taken at this beautiful park. It’s full of beautiful old buildings, a winding creek and loads of beautiful scenery. They are getting married next month so I know there will be more greenery and spring flowers popping up- it will be beautiful! We started walking and noticed the “Dogs must be leashed” sign. OOOOps! Don’t worry, we had the leashes along!
The high school golf season was in “full swing” this week….yes, pun intended! With high temps in the mid 30’s, it was COLD! Son #3 let me snap a quick photo before he jumped into my warm car. Yes, it’s a little blurry, he was in a hurry to get warm!
Because my son is getting married, my Mom and I took some time to look for “Grandmother of the Groom” dresses at our local bridal shop. We had so much fun giggling while she was trying on dresses….we talked about having longer sleeves so we wouldn’t be waving our flags (arm fat) at anyone! She told me that trying on dresses was such a special occasion that she painted her toe nails and even brought some “shapewear” along! She cracks me up! Luckily, she played along with my “getter done” attitude and she tried on 4 dresses, picked out her favorite (it’s GORGEOUS by the way) and paid for it, all in 30 minutes! We even had time to try on princess crowns!
I lived on the edge this week, too, as I tried my hand at selling some clothing on a Facebook Buy and Sell group and made $20!!!! Yee Haw!
