Happy Friday, everyone!! If you’re new here, WELCOME! Each Friday I share a few pictures from my week and tell the stories behind the pictures!
These goonie-loonies were all home last weekend. It was fun, chaotic and messy- all at the same time! Son #1 is on Spring Break and Son #2 just came home for the free laundry service weekend.
As expected, with all four at home, there were lots of shenanigans. Surprisingly, I didn’t witness any wrestling or “show-bun warrior” contests, which was a good thing! Only normal shenanigans. (sorry for the blurry picture!)
Saturday, our boys and 2 of their friends went disc golfing ALL DAY. The played 63 holes! Yes, we still have snow on the ground and yes, it was cold and slushie outside. Although they would never admit that it was cold or super wet, my hubby witnessed one of our sons walking around the house with only underwear on- his jeans were wet and cold. (once again, more shenanigans) Sorry, no picture of that!
Because the boys got home later than 5:00, they didn’t get to eat out with the rest of us (Hubby, Sweet Pea & I) This is what my hubby ordered.
It was Lemon Chicken Pasta, and he was nice enough to share a bite…mmmm. Clearly it was a fancy restaurant due to the extra fancy collegiate sweatshirt.
I’m sure you were worried that the poor boys that were going to starve at home, but have no fear- they found their way to the grocery store and found a 5 for $10 special on frozen pizza. Yes, you figured correctly- 1 pizza per person. They added a side dish of ruffles potato chips and french onion dip also! Gotta love those resourceful college students. I hoped they picked up some Tums too!
We went to church on Sunday and it was a great message! Sweet Pea even chose to sit in “Big Church” (instead of her jr. high small group) because our Pastor of Student Ministries was speaking. How cool is it that our students WANT to come to church? And how awesome is it that our church has a worship band complete with electric and bass guitars??! So cool! and the best part? Our church encourages wearing jeans to church. It’s not unusual in the Fall to see a sea of green (Green Bay Packer Jerseys) in our congregation! Amen and Amen!
After church we met my parents at a local chinese buffet so they could see they boys. Sweet Pea loaded her plate with orange chicken and then told me how much she loved the orange chicken there. I guess she ignored the sign that said “General Tso’s Chicken- SPICY!” She took a few bites and then her nose started running like a faucet… bless her heart, she finished it all! More napkins, please!!!
Later in the week, I went to a friend’s house and put together a few freezer meals….SCORE!!
While I was gone making the meals, my family decided to watch this…
They popped a little homemade popcorn, kicked back and enjoyed the movie!
and Lastly, while I was grocery shopping this week, I saw this sign. Does this bother anyone else??
This week there were no plumbing issues, sickness or drama- I call that a GOOD week!!
Feel free to leave a comment….It would MAKE MY DAY (smile)!
