Who doesn’t LOVE a good BEFORE & AFTER?? I know I do!! Watching the transformation from chaotic to orderly really makes my brain feel better!!
Since we’ve had some snow already, I decided it was time for the ole “Shoe Switcheroo.“
It’s a bummer when it’s time to put the sandals and flip flops away, but I DO love wearing my boots, too!
This little side of my closet was looking a little frazzled and ratty. I hated how items were pouring out onto the floor of the closet!! Ugh!! SO, I guess you could call this my BEFORE picture!! Isn’t it lovely??
Hubby was home one morning this week, and I needed to look busy (wink.) I knew this was the perfect project to start! I hid out in the closet while he worked in the kitchen and we both accomplished our goals!!
I started by emptying everything from the shoe organizer. It had more than just shoes in it for sure!!
I emptied it right into a large utility tote and carried it into the kitchen.
I separated the shoes from the other items and threw away the trash. Summer shoes are on the left and other “stuff” on the right. I found books, socks, scarves and a few other things that don’t belong there!
Summer shoes got packed away…
I sorted through my favorite hoodies and sweatshirts…
AND……. Here’s the Final Product!!!
Here’s the comparison……AHHHHHH!! My brain feels so much better!!!
How do you store YOUR shoes??
I’m happy with this set up for now, but I’m always looking for ways to improve!!

It looks wonderful. I am sure you feel better about it. A closet can get “awful” quite quickly, especially if one has a door that closes and one doesn’t have to face it. Ha! Ha! That would be me!

Hahahaha!!!! Love you, Mom!!

Your mom is a hoot!! I think I would put the sweaters in the shoe organizer. Then the bucket of shoes on shelf. Easier to access. But I am getting old and plump so easier to see on shelf. Lol

I hate the ‘shoe switcheroo!’ It signals the official end of nice days:(
On the bright side, at least I have lots of shoes to choose from each season:)

Thanks for the comment, Julie!! From what I recall, you are the shoe QUEEN!!
