Would you like to meet my family?? Well, if you would, just keep on scrolling!!
Meet my hubby… We met in high school while working at a shoe store in Burlington, Iowa. He’s a C.P.A. and is a financial strategist for a company in downtown Milwaukee. His favorite things are golfing, taking walks, putting together puzzles and doing ANYTHING outside- even if it’s scooping dog poo!! FUN FACT: We are BOTH only children!!! We celebrated 28 years of marriage a few months ago!!
We have 4 children….
Son #1 is married, has a little boy that turned ONE just last weekend!! He is a computer nerd, a DIY’er with house projects, disc golfer, and an avid board game player!! FUN FACT: When he orders food at a restaurant, he just says “surprise me!”
Son #2 is married, and he works in the banking industry. He loves to disc golf, debate any subject, and he’s also a tough opponent in the board game & video gaming world!! FUN FACT: He is an AMAZING artist!
Son #3 is a sophomore in college, studying to be a nurse. He is SUPER involved on campus and is known for loving people well. Like his brothers, he also loves to disc golf, he loves exercising and making sushi! FUN FACT: He has had a buzz cut (hair) since he was 2 years old. Last year, he decided to grow it out…which has been quite a process!!
Our last child….a Daughter!! God gave us this beauty to complete our family. She is currently a Junior in High school and can’t wait to be done with this school year- it’s been a tough one! She loves her part time jobs babysitting and working as a barista. Getting together with friends, laying in her bed and watching You Tube videos, and playing tennis are her ideas of fun!! FUN FACT: She is an expert at mixing and matching clothes.
Our Pets…
This is Honey Bee. She is just a year old and challenges us every day with her energy! She has the sweetest golden doodle face and best personality! Her favorite things are: playing frisbee or ball outside, chewing up toys and watching for scary things blowing through our back yard from the comfort of her chair. FUN FACT: She’s a bed hog, and she always chooses MY side of the bed to “hog.”
Here’s Miss Minnie Moo… she’s our grandma dog. (teacup yorkie) She weighs in at a chunky 5 pounds 7 ounces!! She was outraged that we got a new puppy a year ago! Her hobbies include taking naps on her heated blanket, fetching her favorite Kong- wubba, and slurping up crumbs of food that fall on the floor. FUN FACT: She RUNS the dog park. All dogs are afraid of her!!! Even the big dogs!!
Say HI to Cheeks, our chinchilla! We adopted him from a neighbor probably 7 years ago… he is somewhere around 15 years old. He is a Homebody and LOVES to stay in his cage. His favorite things are chewing on his apple wood sticks, running to the various levels in his cage, getting scratches behind his ears and under his arms and rolling in his dust bath! FUN FACT: He LOVES fresh vegetables! Lettuce and strawberries are his favorites, although carrots are right up there too!!
It’s a rare moment, but when we can all get together it’s pure JOY for this Mama!! Here we were at Thanksgiving last year! One last FUN FACT: We didn’t even call each other to coordinate outfits…we just showed up that way!
Today I’m linking up with Shay and Erika’s monthly post called, Let’s Look!!
Here’s a guide to posting for the rest of the year- I’m so excited to join in the fun!! Looks like I’d better start cleaning out my pantry now…it’s next month’s post!! Yikes!!!
