Welcome to my week in review! A quick look at the highlights and even a few low lights of my week!
This time change thing really threw me for a loop this week. Monday morning I woke up a half an hour late and found that the kids were up and getting ready for school already. I guess I’ll have to start setting an alarm again- I haven’t done that for over 10 years!! Anyway, I caught a picture of the beautiful sunrise!
Last Weekend our oldest son came home from college, so after church we tried out a new restaurant in town. I had to capture the moment because I always make fun of the shirt he is wearing- I call it the “Where’s Waldo shirt.” The shirt mixed with the “my little pony” drawing on the table were just too much to handle. We all giggled a little!
What I DID learn from trying the new restaurant is that next time I will order this! Sweet Pea shared a little bit of her pancake with me and oh boy was it good!
We also had a plumbing issue this week that my hubby dealt with. I’m not kidding when I say that he worked on this for 3 hours. I left the house, grocery shopped , came back, put away all of the groceries and made dinner and he was STILL working on the project. Bless his heart…he’s a patient man! I will report that no butt cleavage was seen that day, and the real plumber came to finish the project on Wednesday.
In other exciting news…
Noticing that the bathroom door was cracked and I had to use the bathroom, I kicked it open all of the way, not knowing what I would find- and I found this…Wha??? Apparently you need a scarf on your head to remove toenail polish!
Hubs and I didn’t have a date night this week, but we did get to have some “couch time” while watching American Idol. Yes, we still have a wreath up over the fireplace! My friend came over this week and said “My mother would be rolling over in her grave to see that you still have a wreath up in March!” OOOOPs! Maybe that’s the reason we still have snow on the ground in Wisconsin!
I went to a “high end” grocery store this week to find some good lookin’ fruit to serve to a friend who came over for breakfast. Here it is, all served up in a fancy little pampered chef dish!
While I was browsing that grocery store, I saw this and had to buy it. Dulce de Leche cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
Yes, I was so excited that I even had a few bites while I was in the car! Please focus on the beautiful plop of whipped goodness on top and NOT on my dried out cuticles- thank you.
After finishing half of the dessert, I noticed this on the back of the box- the INGREDIENTS!
I may die sooner than later, looking at all of those ingredients, but at least I’ll be well preserved!! (wink)
See you next week!
Oldest Grandson’s shirt is “spiffy”! Not a where’s Waldo Shirt! The pancake, eggs, and sausages do look really good. You have a handsome plumber and he does have much patience. And of course…… I always sit on the counter top in the bathroom with a scarf tied on my head to remove my toe nail polish. Doesn’t everyone? I think the “lighted wreath” is still very pretty. To me, it doesn’t look like a wreath.. It looks like an oak tree in the distance with lights….(Very pretty, STILL). The fruit is beautiful and the cake….well, the cake looks so good. I doubt if they can get that many ingredients in that sliver of cake…And the ingredients were unbelievable…Well preserved is correct.
Your post is making me hungry! haha!! That breakfast looks great!
Thanks for linking up with me today!
