I had the pleasure of going to my friend, Michelle’s house, where she served these cinnamon rolls….Oh.My.Goodness…..they are simply divine! I figured that to be this delicious, loads of time, attention and love were poured into making the recipe. The recipe, I quickly figured out, is actually quite simple…and the secret ingredient??? Melted Ice Cream…… and most of the work is done the night before you serve the cinnamon rolls!! You must give these a try! I promise you will get zillions of compliments on these rolls!! Here’s the recipe….
Ice Cream Cinnamon Rolls
12 pk. Rhodes Cinnamon rolls (frozen)
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1 stick of butter
…3/4 c. sugar
1 T. vanilla
Lay out cinnamon rolls in a greased 9×13 pan (I used a lasagna pan, it’s bigger)
Bring ice cream, butter, vanilla and sugar to a boil. Boil until mixture is foamy. Pour this mixture over the rolls. Cover pan and set them in the oven overnight. Take cover off of the rolls in the morning. Do not take rolls out to preheat oven, just turn on the oven to 350 and let bake for 30 minutes. Use frosting packets that came with the rolls to frost.
Well done, Ms. Lady! I am enjoying all of your creative works…..Bless you, my dear!
I cannot wait to try these! I have run out of quick morning ideas before work! Thank you!
Do you cool the mixture before pouring them over rolls? Or just right off the stove? Sounds delish…am going to try these…
Mark, you don’t have to let the mixture cool- just pour it right over the rolls- I even use a toothpick and poke holes in the rolls so the mixture can sink into every crevice. They are SO GOOD! Hope you enjoy them!!
OMG those sound AMAZING!!
