Before I go to bed at night, I take out a piece of paper and jot down things I need to do the next day. An example of my brain dump is above. These are the items that will occupy your brain, preventing your mind from settling down at night! By getting them on paper, your brain is freed up so you can relax and sleep well.
While laying in bed, sometimes even more ideas or thoughts come into my head..I keep a post it note and pen in the top drawer of my bedside table and can jot it down without having to get out of bed and write things down. In the morning you can combine the lists and start working on the items!
