This week in Mary’s De-Cluttering Challenge, she had us working on our “Playrooms.” Now, because my kids are older, we don’t have a designated playroom with toys anymore, but I know from experience that those rooms often look like a massive explosion of Toys R Us!! Good Luck to those tackling that challenge this week!!
I suppose you could call this room “MY playroom”, because it houses all of my scrapbooking “stuff.” This was a great week to de-clutter this room because one of my sons just finished working on a school project and it was a royal MESS!!
We use this space for finding solitude (a.k.a. napping), scrap booking, crafting and my personal favorite, watching snow fall in the winter!
Here are the before pics…this one was taken from the bedroom hallway looking toward the back of the house.
Another view from the OTHER side of the room…
A close up of the “table of creativity and inspiration”..ahem…take note of the 10 pound lump of clay…
Here’s our keyboard that couldn’t possibly be played right now because I was too lazy to unpack the shoes that I ordered from Zappos!
With the help of my son (who completed the amazing art project) and my always helpful hubby, we managed to get this mess under control in an afternoon. I did, however, take a few days to go through the scrapbook cabinets and drawers to de-clutter and move things around.
Here are the AFTER shots…
YES, that is SNOW on the ground!
Even my pups liked when I de-cluttered this room. It was warm, cozy and a great place to watch for SQUIRRELS!!
I can’t believe we’re already done with week #11! Next week I will be working on the Week #12 Challenge… “Other Bathrooms!”
and just in case you wondered, this is where my “teenagers and their friends hang out….the MANCAVE!
See you next week!!
I love your table of creativity! Good job!
I must say…That was a huge difference, but it usually is pretty neat most all of the time. Now I can play the key-board…..Not! =)
