Our house does not have a so called “Office,” so I’m going to drag you around my house a bit to see the spaces that I de-cluttered and organized for this week’s challenge! About 11 years ago we added 1800 sq. feet to the back of our house. In the expansion, there was an odd, open space between the kitchen and the bedrooms. After living in the space for some time, we decided that this would be a great place to have a large desk/cabinet to hold our files and our desk top computer. Here is the space before…(p.s. the computer konked out, so now we store the wireless printer in that space)
This space tends to collect papers, goodwill items, and yes, even extra dog beds (far left). (the wire fencing you see above is where our teacup yorkie sleeps at night!)
The drawers were messy too!
It’s amazing what a little sweat and hard work will do….here are the after pics!!
as for the drawers…
and the shelves above…sorry for the blurriness!
Oh!!! I forgot to show you my FAVORITE part of that room…the pics of my kiddoes! (some of these are OLD)
Next up is an area that’s adjacent to my kitchen. It often serves as an office because my planner is close by and the cabinet holds lots of school supplies and binders.
Here’s a closer look at the cabinet. Looks nice, neat and tidy, right??
WRONG! These shelves can hold a bunch of “stuff.”
When you’re de-cluttering, sometimes things have to look worse, before they look better. Case in point….
and here’s the final product….
Mary’s challenge next week is Closets! Stay tuned to see what I can do with this doosy of a closet!
It all looks so good! Congratulations!
it looks great! I look forward to seeing what you do with the closet
