This is Week #5 of Mary’s Decluttering Challenge and our assignment this week was to declutter our laundry rooms. My laundry room is also used as a mudroom and is located right off our garage, so it is a HIGH TRAFFIC AREA!! My family tends to walk in the door and drop everything. This is what can happen when they do!….OR if a mouse is running loose in your laundry room (which was the case here!)
Now, let’s take a look at the BEFORE pictures…
and now the AFTER…
Here’s a closer look at the Locker drawers… items stored within- cinch bags, sunglasses, winter hats, and yes, you do see an athletic cup! Ha!
The bins under the lockers store out of season shoes. Shelves above the coats store mittens or ball caps, depending on the season!
Here’s the before of the drawers in the cabinetry…
and the drawers AFTER… these drawers stored a LOT of items that didn’t have a “Home,” but were filled mostly with Owner’s manuals and Warranty information. I relocated them into our office file folders…
and here are the upper cabinets BEFORE…what a mess!
and here are the BEAUTIFUL AFTER photos! I’m so happy with the way it turned out!
and just to show you real life at our house, this is what the laundry room looks like on Laundry Days!!
What’s up for next week in the challenge?? THE MASTER BEDROOM!!
It looks great. I love all of the space you have. I also really like the locker drawers. Everything looks so nice
Thank you, Aprila!
Love the idea to use bins in the cabinets so when you need something you can just pull out the bin instead of pulling out all of the individual spray bottles or whatever it is. Thanks Jill! I’m working on organizing this month! I’ll definitely use this tip!
