Hi Friends! Yes, I know that my What’s Up, Wednesday post is late this month- there’s a good reason! Earlier this week I had a hysterectomy. I’ve been waiting nearly half a year to have some issues resolved by having surgery! I’m so glad it’s over and I’m already feeling relief!
Before the surgery, I felt a little sad. I have so much respect for the work that my uterus has done. It did a great job of growing our 4 babies, and it was hard to think of getting rid of it. BUT, it had started growing fibroids that were getting bigger by the month, so it was best to take it out, along with all the other girly parts.
Let’s get going with the post this week!! As usual, I’m linking up with Shay to share “What’s Up, Wednesday”
What we’re eating this week…
Monday- pork tenderloin, green beans and mashed taters
Tuesday- (Surgery Day) Apple Sauce & roll. (Baked Oatmeal & canteloupe for Wednesday b-fast) a friend brought it =)
Wednesday- Alfredo Tortellini Bake, Caesar salad, garlic bread, watermelon & cookies (A friend brought dinner)
Thursday- Leftovers
Friday- Chicken Fajitas, made by family. Breakfast is a fruity french toast bake made by a friend!!

Well, that’s it for this month! Feel free to leave a comment to say hi!! Thanks for stopping by!!
Wow! Jill! John better tie you done as active as your mind is thinking your body always needs to be! Just relax & let others pamper YOU for awhile. Hoping you’ll feel much better now. Love from afar. 🥰
Thanks for the love, Dee!! I’m doing so great with recovery! I DO know that if I over do it, I will feel it!! Enjoy the holiday weekend!
Hi Jill – prayers for quick healing after the surgery. We just got back from visiting Kim & family in Seattle & I have to say I tried using a few small packing “pouches” in my suitcase for the first time. I have to say they worked great – had socks in one & underwear in another. Never really unpacked while we were there so it made it so simple to just pull out the zipper pouch in the morning to grab clean underwear & socks without rummaging through the whole suitcase. Thanks for mentioning the packing cubes earlier – that’s what made me try this when I saw these pouches at Marshall’s! 💕 And so glad you have your dad (& mom) to come around & visit the pups! 😊 Take it easy & don’t rush the recovery.
Hi Sue!! I’m so glad you tried the packing cubes! I’m sure you had a great time in Seattle!!
Oh wow, prayers for a quick recovery and an easier transition back into activities than you’re expecting! My husband just started watching the new season of Alone as well, and I sort of watch as well. I’m late in commenting on WUW posts but I hope your July is off to a great start!
