Yes, I know this post is going up a day late. Better late than never, right?? All because of this thing called a “hard drive” that went bad….that’s why this post is late. I’m so happy to have my computer back now!!!
It’s back to school week in Wisconsin! We said “good bye for now” to son #2 as he made his journey back to college for his Junior year. We packed up his little car and then followed behind him about 30 minutes later, bringing the all important things…the giant bean bag chair and the fridge!! All seems to be going well as we haven’t heard a word from him since!! Did I mention that he loves college life??
Son #3 hit the ground running as he started his Junior year of high school! He’s taking plenty of AP classes, playing 3 sports, working, and planning to be involved in our church’s youth group! Whew…. Wears me out just thinking about it! You can clearly see that he “dressed up” for picture day at school…not.
Little Miss Sweet Pea started 8th grade this year at our local school, just 3 minutes away! She had mixed feelings about going back. Her plans to hang out with friends this summer didn’t materialize like she thought, so she was excited to spend time with them once again! I think the joy of seeing friends and teachers outweighed the thought of big projects and homework!!
Even though it was 88 degrees out, I had cookies waiting for the kids when they got home from school!! Yes, I ate some dough.
You can find the recipe HERE.
Not only this week, but this whole entire month has been focused on getting our home ready to sell. While we still have a few things left to do, I’m starting to be encouraged that our hard work might just pay off! We found it particularly challenging to get ready for pictures and make it look as though no one lives here, when actually 5 of us plus two dogs are living here at the moment! If only we could keep it looking this way!!
In many of these pictures, I wish you could have seen the crapola that was shoved in a laundry basket and tucked around the corner! TRUTH, people!
I even remember that one time, when my laundry room looked like this….

Loved the pics of the “kids”. Hope that they all are enjoying their classes and activities. The cookies look wonderful…and I am sure they were tasty. You have done a marvelous job of getting the house ready for the market. Everything looks so good!
