Happy first few days of Fall!! I have been loving the slow transition from Summer to Fall. In Wisconsin, many times we enjoy the Summer temperatures, have about a week of comfortable Fall weather and then plummet right into Winter. This year has been great for me!!
Our college son made an appearance at home for dinner and church last Saturday night. Apparently we are not as entertaining as his friends- he fell asleep on the couch at 8:30 p.m. Minnie enjoyed the snuggle time.
It was also a weekend of haircuts. My hair “buzzer” made an appearance twice last weekend.
Our married son and his wife also joined us Saturday night, too, for a bit. I snapped a picture because these moments of togetherness are becoming fewer and farther between. Did I mention how much I love these people?? Well, I DO!!
Sunday morning I was up bright and early and made a special breakfast for the guys- they were in a disc golf tournament that morning. I got this recipe from my good friend, Tamara, who makes this delicious “Panakuken” for her family and friends! I even made the maple butter that accompanies it. WOW, was it good- not that I got a bite or anything. (The guys gobbled it down!)
Proper stretching is required before doing any sort of physical activity, ya know. And off they went to disc golf for a cause. It was a fundraiser for re-homing dogs in our area.
Well, these silly guys must have been pretty serious about their discing, because they won the tournament!! OK, truth be told there were only 3 teams.
Their prize was a gift card to a local disc golf store, which they so generously gave to their youngest brother who had to work on Sunday morning. Can I get an “awwwww?’
During the disc golf tournament, they had a pet fair that Sweet Pea and I attended. Vendors and various dog rescue organizations all gathered together to show and advertise their wares. I spotted these 2 cuties from a mile away! Meet Mini Cooper and Kylee! I met Mini Cooper last year at another Pet Fair. The last time we were together, we were planning a wedding for Mini Cooper and our little Minnie Moo. Well, I guess Mini Cooper has a little sister now. They both make our 6 pound tea cup Yorkie look huge! I loved that they had on their Packer Gear! The owner was proud to tell me that they had on their Wisconsin Badger gear the day before! I love it!!
Hope you had a great week too!! See you next week!

Well, that was certainly a fun post. Glad all the siblings and the daughter in love, could get together for a short time. Sorry we missed seeing them, but did get to see #2, #3, and #4 on Sunday. Great seeing the college man. Pancake looks good and maple butter makes it sound really good. Hurray for the Disc-ers. Glad they were the champions. And how nice of them to give their prize to #3. Work wrecks everything….except for paying the bills. =) Thanks for posting the “little doggies”. They are so cute….
