The end of another week!! May has just flown by, hasn’t it?
It was a strange week here because Hubby was home with me all week! Even though he was technically “on vacation,” can you believe that he wanted to help me out at home?? Oh yes he did!
He had fun scrubbing our entire tile shower that hadn’t been cleaned for awhile. He even got on his hands and knees and did a thorough scour of our bathroom floor. Do you even know how much hairspray was on the floor?? Sheesh! This guy gets MAJOR brownie points!!
He also took the time to plant our little garden. He successfully planted tomatoes, green beans and potatoes! Just look at how big my rhubarb is this year??? WOWZA…now, who wants some?
(Note: hubby has made 2 rhubarb cakes this week!)
This sweet girl worked hard at school with the kids! Next week will be her last week until next Fall. She loves walking through the halls and saying hello to everyone! Here she is in the guidance counselor’s office, just waiting for her “kids.” WHO CAN I LOVE ON? ~Bella
We celebrated my Dad’s birthday on Memorial Day. It was a fun day of eating, board games, baseball in the yard, and ended with a tour at the new house. (We’re especially thankful for those who paid a high price for our freedom!!! ) Did I mention that we had a bountiful buffet of delicious food!
The birthday boy!!
Last weekend we went to a local greenhouse and picked out a few flowers! Wasn’t it beautiful?? The good Lord above does good work!! (and the greenhouse workers, of course!!)
As usual, we enjoyed our patio…..the mosquitoes aren’t around yet! Hooray!!!
Enjoy your weekend!
I love comments…feel free to leave one!!!

I hope this doesn’t offend you, but you had to be REALLY turned on when John was scrubbing the floor on his hands and knees……hope the kids weren’t home! 🙂
I love being able to enjoy meals out on the patio before the bugs get to bad. Spring and summer are just not long enough in my book so you have to take advantage of the nice weather when you can. The flowers looked beautiful….I buy all my flowers at Eberts and love walking around all the greenhouses and seeing what new plants are out there and what color combinations are being used this season. Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing your life with us, Jill. I want to ‘like’ your pictures but then realize it isn’t facebook & I can’t do that! Ha ha! What greenhouse do you go to? Faust? or ??? And way to go, John – that’s one good husband you’ve got there! 🙂 And I always love Bella pictures – she looks like such a great dog!
