Hello and welcome to my week!!! It was the perfect amount of busy with the perfect amount of chill.
The biggest decision I made this week was choosing counter tops for our new home! It was a really easy decision and what a blessing it is that Hubs and I are typically on the same page as far as decorating goes! We will have a little granite, a little Corian and a little laminate for the various countertops!
I clearly had some “chill” mornings as I showed off the latest style in Mommy cozy clothes. Take note: it’s always best to call ahead before dropping in at my house. (wink)
When I’m having my morning hot chocolate, these two are always staring at me, giving me a guilt trip. We DID get out for several walks this week though! So glad the weather has been so nice!
We made a few visits to the new house this week to check on the progress. Those construction workers are go- getters, let me tell ya! I can’t believe how fast things are moving. Most things are framed on the main floor and the roof is going on! We happened to be standing in the house, looking out one of the picture windows and 5 deer came running by- I think we startled them! Sorry to interrupt your evening migration, deer friends!! I will spare you the blurry picture I took of them..well, of their white buns popping by. Here are a few pics from this week’s construction-quite beautiful construction I have to say!
The true highlight of the week was having lunch with my Mom and Dad! Mom fixed a fantabulous meal- chicken, green beans, rolls, mac and cheese and let’s not forget the homemade strawberry preserves! WOW, was I spoiled! Much better than the sandwich that I had planned to have that day!
It felt like I was dining at the Cracker Barrel y’all and I didn’t have to leave a tip OR play checkers with anybody!
Bella might have gotten a little spoiled too.
Please enjoy your weekend and have a Happy Easter, friends!! I’ll see you on Tuesday with a quick and easy crock pot meal!!

Thanks for the visit to the “Counter-top store”. I enjoyed looking at all of the different colors. Plus, your jammies, socks and slippers are just fine. Love your doggies and I think they get awfully good care…all of the time. The house is looking good. Amazing how fast they are working. Glad you got to see the deer. It is always a treat to see wildlife, I think. And the meal was nothing special, I can tell you. But so glad you could share it with us. Bella liked it, too! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your photos. Keep up the good work. It is always appreciated.
Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter…….
Hopping over from the Friday Favorites linkup. It looks like you had a wonderful week! We just bought another home, and I’m dying to re-do our kitchen countertops. I know it’ll be a hard decision when it comes down to what to pick, though.
I’d also like to invite you to join the High Five for Friday linkup that I co-host. It goes live at 7 am eastern time on Friday mornings:)
