Welcome to the monthly link up with Ashley and Erika! Tuesday Talk is a time to chat about anything we want and share it in a link up party!!
So, I’ve discovered something that has changed my life, and I had to share it with you! The Walmart grocery pick up has been a GAME CHANGER for me and something that has saved me money and time! Saving me money and time?? SIGN ME UP!!!
At first I was hesitant about trying this service because I figured that they would charge me a fee or hike up the prices- but they don’t!!! I even got a free water bottle and bag of goodies the first time I tried it! WOW!!
Here’s what I do. Monday morning I plan out my 5 meals for the week (usually leftovers & one night out for the other 2) I add the meal ingredients plus my running grocery/other stuff to the list and log onto my account on the Walmart site. In the search bar, I type in the item that I want, and it gives me several different choices. I just click on the one that I want, and it’s added to my virtual cart!
From the website, I pick a time and location for pick up- it’s usually an hour time window. When your groceries are gathered, they text you that your order is ready to be picked up. To help them out, they have a great feature on the app that you can alert them that you’re on your way to pick them up.
Walmart has a specific area where you pick up your groceries. The parking spot usually has a phone number to call so they can bring out the groceries and load them into your car. (Super great for heavy items like big cases of water, solar salt, cat litter.)
For me, the ONLY downside to doing this type of grocery shopping is that you aren’t able to choose your own produce. Our family likes bananas to be half way green when they eat them, and sometimes the bananas that they bring us are already yellow. (First world problems, right?)
I would highly recommend trying this service if you don’t love to grocery shop or even if you do but just don’t have the time that week!
To even sweeten the deal, here’s a code for $10 off your first order of $50 or more!! I hope you give it a try!!
Have you tried online grocery pick up service?? What did YOU think of it??
Yep! I’ve been using the grocery pick up too, and I love it! I have to spend some time (at home) picking out the groceries, but it is SO NICE to not have to walk all through the store after a morning of work. Love it!
Yes, there’s definitely some prep work, but SO worth it !! Thanks for stopping by to say HI, Pam!
