Well, Hello Tuesday!!! We’re back from a little vacation to Texas and it was so good to getaway, but oh my, it was good to sleep in my own bed last night!!
While in Texas, we visited the George W. Bush Center and Museum. We saw an exhibit about the No Child Left Behind Act. It got me thinking….
Should schools still be teaching cursive handwriting or spend more time on other educational subjects??
What do you think??
Great question. Yes, they should teach cursive. I’m stunned that they don’t now.
It’s fun to hear what other districts are doing through this post! I just assumed all were still teaching cursive! Thanks for your input, Christen!!
YES!! I know they don’t use it much, they type everything. But then teach them typing and cursive. It’s a good fine motor skill to have and still a valuable skill.
I like that idea…typing AND cursive!!
I think cursive writing is definitely worth teaching the kids. I’d love to visit TX sometime. Glad you had the opportunity to get away! I talked a bit about what is on my mind lately:
