Today’s post is our SUMMER VACAY 2020- Part 2!! If you missed PART ONE, you should go back and catch up 🙂
SUNDAY
As usual, our mornings on vacation were slow and relaxed- I’m ALL about that!!
My Hubby decided to have a little one on one time with his favorite 2 year old, so he took the boat and motored over to the local mini golf place. I’m not sure which was more exciting to him, the mini golf or the CLAW GAME!! 😉
Who was up for another boat ride?? LOTS of people!!
By the way….were you worried about our dogs that weren’t on the trip?? Well, you certainly didn’t need to be, I was getting updates and pictures from our dog sitter and they were having a BALL!!!
Sunday night we boated over to Clear Water Harbor Waterfront Restaurant and Bar. It was a MUST DO on our list of vacation activities!! The boat was tied up, and we enjoyed the music playing outside. We ate INSIDE, though!! People were feeding the ducks close to shore, but I decided that I would just enjoy my steak sandwich and NOT share!! Hehehe!! Obviously, Covid-19 was not a concern for most people- just look at the crowd!!
There was more fishing when we got back to the house!
This night we decided to have a Bonfire! As kiddoes went to bed, people started wandering out to the campfire. S’mores were on the menu as well as a silly girl that wanted to see what happened when you roasted a strawberry! As I recall, we really enjoyed the bullfrog serenade as we talked late into the night around the fire.
Monday
Monday morning brought cousin play…
And a little FLORAL fashion show!! So Fabulous!!!
Lunch was a little camp out to make hot dogs on the fire! We added some chips and watermelon and the meal was complete!! We’re fancy like that!
Hubby sure enjoyed the view and the weather!!
Dinner was made by our second son and his wife…They made a chicken and broccoli casserole! Two 9×13 dishes were made…and they disappeared VERY quickly!!!
A friend of mine suggested this ice cream place, and it did NOT disappoint for dessert!! Most of these ice cream cones were “kid sized” portions! Unbelievable!!! I’m also happy to report that no one got “brain freeze!!
Our nights were focused on getting the babies down for bedtime and then gathering for cards or board games! SO MANY LAUGHS!!
Stay tuned for PART 3!
As usual…..it looks like you all had such a good time. Loved the pics of John and Cobes on their fun golfing excursion, etc. Your photos are always enjoyed. Thanks so much for sharing. ALMOST as good as being there.
Thanks, Mom!!
