Boo Hoo!! It was our last full day in Florida!
We decided ahead of time to plan a family day at Disney Springs – formerly Downtown Disney.
We hopped in our Mini vans and trucked on over to Disney Springs. Our first stop was 11:30 reservations for lunch at T-Rex!! We didn’t wait long and soon we were seated!
We remember this restaurant when we brought our kids YEARS ago and one of them ordered the Nacho Plate- it was HUGE!!! A couple of guys in our group ordered it, but still couldn’t finish it! It’s a colorful and delicious restaurant!! Watch out for the Meteor Shower and all of it’s rumblings and flashing lights!!
He loved his chicken nuggets!!
After lunch we roamed around and visited the Disney Store, The Lego store, Ghirardelli chocolate company, and finally the Star Wars store!
Someone was a little tired from shopping!!
We had plenty of time to hit the pool in the afternoon!!
Everyone was trying to get rid of their WINTER WHITE WISCONSIN skin tone!!
There’s nothing quite like some Vitamin D therapy!!
Later that night, we played “Eat up what’s in the fridge & freezer,” played a few more games of cards and then went to bed early because we had an early flight home!!
We left the house at about 5:30 am and skid into the airport gate just as the flight was boarding- WHEW!! The flight went as planned and we rolled into Mitchell Airport right on time and guess what we saw…. SNOW on the ground!!
It was an AMAZING TRIP!! I had so much fun!! Later that night at home we booked our next family trip- next Summer to a big, beautiful cabin on a lake! There’s nothing like spending time with family!!
Thanks for taking the time to read about our adventures!!

Looks very fun – my dream is to someday go to Disney with my grandson – not sure if it will ever happen financially – but it’s my dream! 🙂 I love Disney though so I’ll have to wait ’till he’s old enough to hang with me in the parks all day! 😀 But looks like it worked great to have some “park” time for your little man plus some ‘grandparent’ time & relaxation time too! Perfect scenario.
OH, Sue….you will get there with Kingston!! Yes, wait until he can remember it!!
I loved reading all about your trip- that house is BEAUTIFUL- everything sounded so fun- love how much you packed in!
Holly- it really was a perfect vacation!! Can’t wait for the next one, even if it’s over a year away!! Thanks for your sweet comment!!
