On days that are really hectic in the afternoon, I like to use my Crock Pot to cook dinner. I especially like to just dump things into the Pot, put the lid on and let it cook all afternoon. Pizza Casserole is one of those recipes that tastes really good with just a little work. I served this with a green salad with cucumbers and sunflower seeds. One of my sons even patted me on the back and said “this is GOOD.” and who doesn’t like a compliment from one of your own kids!!! Here’s the recipe…..
Pizza Casserole
1 1/2 pounds hamburger, cooked and drained
16 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
pepperoni (I used the mini pepperonis)
1 box of rigatoni noodles, cooked
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cans of mushrooms (OPTIONAL)
2 cans/jars of pizza sauce
Layer in the Crock Pot in this order…
On the bottom: hamburger, then noodles, cheese, soup, mushrooms, sauce and then pepperoni on the top!!
Cook for 4 hours on LOW. Mix well in the Crock Pot before serving….. Enjoy!
Thanks to my friend, Sara, who shared this recipe with me….she is a busy Mom of 4 too!!
Looks so good……
