Piper’s First Birthday “Paw”ty!!!

Our puppy, Piper, had a birthday on September 7th, 2023!  It was her FIRST birthday!!  For those of you who don’t have pets, I’m sure you will think that I’m super crazy for doing this!  Our breeder has a super fun facebook page for families that adopt from them, so it was pretty easy to find Piper’s siblings and families. Because I’m a crazy dog person, I decided to invite all of Piper’s siblings over for a first birthday party! It was such a beautiful sunny day!

Here was the setup for the party!  We had snacks & drinks for the adults, and even treat bags for the pups to fill and take home!  Isn’t the “Let’s Pawty” so cute??

 

 

Just look at these cupcakes!  WOWZA!!  The decoration on the cupcake said “Happy Barkday!!”

It was so fun meeting the families and seeing all of the pups!!  It was a great thing that one of the families made bandanas with their names on them because, in the beginning, they all looked alike!  As the party progressed, it was easier to tell them apart! It was so fun to compare notes with the other families on behavior and even some of the physical traits that they have!  We noticed that two of the puppies have curly tails that don’t straighten out.  I guess that was a trait from the Dad. We also noticed some color differences and a few had a putty colored nose as some had black noses.

The MOMMA dog came to the party, too!! 

 

Here’s the Mom!!! How fun was that??  She has had 4 litters with the same Dad, so she has 31 puppies.  What a good girl!  She’s done having pups now, and is just enjoying life! The family of the Momma dog also adopted the only male dog from the litter.

 

I thought the Momma deserved to have a special treat, so we bought her a lamb chop stuffie!!  She loved it!!

Here’s the group photo!  We were only missing one pup from the litter.  It was a great day to have them meet again, chat about the similarities and differences, and make new friends!  I’m so glad we could all get together to celebrate!

 

These two absolutely crashed after the “PAW”TY!  Honey, our older dog is from the same breeder, but from different parents. What an incredible day!  And yes, we will celebrate their second birthday the same way….Together!!

I get asked a lot if the Mom recognized her puppies.  She certainly sniffed all of them down really well, and played with them!  They were all happy to celebrate their extra special FIRST birthday!!
