We decided to spend our family vacation in Orlando, Florida with all of our kids & Grandkids!! We like to rent big houses with quite a few bedrooms, and bathrooms to stay in and a kitchen so we can cook for ourselves and hang out in the larger spaces.
We flew to Florida on a Tuesday morning and were soon eating lunch outside on the house patio! The temps were in the high 70’s and super comfortable for me!
We took advantage of the pool!! It had a hot tub, too!
I must have looked hungry because some of the grandkids made me a “salad” with some of the vegetation they found in the pool area! Doesn’t it look so delicious?? Hahaha!
Speaking of food, when we go on vacation with the kids, we each take a night to cook for the group. That night we had a Taco Bar, complete with the fixins. You can’t go wrong with that!!
The house was full of various video games. When the kids went to bed, it was the grown-up’s turn for some fun.
We enjoyed getting to hold our newest grand daughter. She is a sweetie! She’s about 6 weeks old.
Wednesday
As usual, the kids were up pretty early, so the Dad’s of the family took over breakfast duties and fed the kids. The rest of the morning was full of more pool time!
This guy is my super healthy eater! He had made his big bowl of veggies for the week and his variety pack of hummus! He was so kind to share his veggies, too!
After lunch the kids played in the sand, being super careful to stay out of the way of the golfers teeing off in the backyard!
Dinner was at the Rainforest Cafe in Disney Springs.
We decided to get dessert to celebrate a family birthday. We had a volcano cake (chocolate) and a confetti cake!
We also shopped at the Disney Store and the Lego store!
Thursday
It was certainly time to:
One of the families decided to spend the day at Disney World in the Magic Kingdom, so of course fancy hair was in order thanks to Auntie!
They spent the whole day at Magic Kingdom and even stayed until the fireworks!
Others decided to go to the Museum of Illusions!
Just Dance really got things moving in the morning!
Dinner was Kielbasa, potatoes, onions, peppers! Yum!!
Friday
Friday started out by playing in the sand again, which made for a bath for the kiddos!
I just have to show you the Minion Bedroom! All of the “Cousins” slept in here! It had the coolest slide! I’m surprised anyone got any sleep!
This was the bathroom attached to the bedroom!
More pool time! Let’s be honest, there was a bit of pool time every day!!
Dinner was Pizza and Salad!
Right after dinner we piled into the house movie theater and watched The Mario Movie until it was time to go to bed.
This sweetie sure had plenty of smiles for me!!
Cards or board games were popular entertainment every night!
Saturday
We had a really big guy turn SIX on this day! His Mom and Dad made the day super special by getting donuts, opening presents and going to the aquarium!
Hubby and I hopped on a plane and went back to Wisconsin that day!
Well, a few family members stayed until Monday, so they enjoyed going to the mall, night hot tubbing, and then headed to the airport! It was a fun trip and a nice getaway to see flowers, palm trees and FAMILY! They’re the BEST!!
