Oh, summer, where have you gone?? Didn’t our kids just get out of school? On Facebook I’m seeing so many cute pictures of their kids first day of school- unbelievable! Thank goodness we don’t start until September! I can tell the natives are getting a little restless around here, but they’re finding things to do!
Our week started with everyone getting new cell phones and signing that crazy 2 year contract that makes me nervous! I just pray that our existing carrier, U.S. Cellular, will get a good signal at our new house. That would be a HUGE bummer if we didn’t get a signal. My boys claim that I went to the “dark side” by choosing an I Phone, while they went with Samsung, arguing their case all week why the Samsung phone was better. Finally, my son stated that the I phone would probably be better for me because it was “Simpler.” I quickly snapped back and stated that it was most certainly more “User Friendly” (to be politically correct. ) I bought a case on Amazon and I hope it protects my phone as much as I love the color!
News on the new house front is…..as of the beginning of this week, we have counter tops!! and as of last night…we have paint on the walls! The house is sure stinky, but it looks good!!
As you can see, a dark cloud hung over our house (literally) as my son had car trouble and it had to be towed to the car dealership. The good news is that the fix was 100 % covered by Ford! Woo Hoo!
The other bad news was that I was in a little fender bender this week with my car. It’s always a shock when something like that happens, but all parties involved are fine and insurance is good to have. “Nuf Said. Sorry, no picture!
One thing that DID make me happy was having mashed potatoes featuring potatoes grown from our garden! Yukon Gold potatoes are amazing!
Through the good and bad in the week, I always know that there’s plenty of good doggie lovin’ to go around!! See ya next week!!!

Oh, cute pic of #2 son and doggie. Super. Yes, summer has certainly flown by. I am amazed to see the garden slowing down, but the tomatoes are ripening and that is a good thing. Love the new paint. Looks so clean and fresh. So very sorry about the car, but glad that you had warranty coverage. Hope that it is truly “fixed” and that it will continue to be reliable transportation. The potatoes look fabulous! Husband did a good job at gardening. Good luck with the new phones. I guess I am lucky to almost figure out my antique phone at this point! Thanks for sharing your week. Fabulous job as always.
