I guess I should rewrite this blog post title because I’m not a coffee drinker. A more appropriate title would be “Hubby’s Coffee Station.” My hubby gets up at the crack of dawn every morning and one thing that gets him going is his morning cup of joe.
When it’s dark outside and he’s wandering around the kitchen to make coffee, I have to make it easy for him- so I developed the “Coffee Station.” A few years ago we remodeled our kitchen and it was important to me not to have a bunch of appliances sitting out on the counter tops. The kitchen designer listened carefully to my needs and designed this neat little appliance garage. (I also keep my toaster in here.)
Here’s a peek of the “garage” when it’s open.
The cabinet above the coffee maker stores the mugs and the coffee K-cups…they’re so easy to reach. Notice that there are only 2 coffee cups at eye level. These cups are used everyday. The rest are extras and are stored above eye level.
So, you may ask, Where are the extra K cups stored? Right now it’s working for us to store the extras in a lazy susan just below the coffee maker. Here’s a glimpse of that…again, I like to store it out of sight!
A coffee station doesn’t have to be complicated. Just simply store all of the things you use together!! Give it a try!

Looking good! Hazelnut de-caf sounds good, too! =)
I love your appliance garage! I don’t like appliances out on counters either.
I want to set up a coffee station in our home one day. Right now we are in a small apartment so we don’t have any space to do too much. But when we move back into a house, I want to set up a coffee station so everything is close to each other and easy to get to.
Looks good, I’m going to be organizing my kitchen in a bit, and this will be a fun addition.
