Our boys have very simple hairstyles. It seemed really silly for me to pay $20-ish dollars to have their hair cut. I decided to break down and buy what my kids call “the buzzer.” “Buzzing” their hair turned out to not be a big deal…the hardest part was remembering to put the attachment on so they wouldn’t look all bald and such. Sally Beauty Supply was the store where I purchased my “buzzer” and that was the only investment I made. Later, I return to the store to buy a good pair of scissors and found a cape that was on the clearance rack…woo hoo..score!! My only talent this way seems to be with guy haircuts…I haven’t even begun to try to conquer a girls haircut with all of the layering, etc!! This is one small way that I help our family save money!!
I also give my husband and son haircuts. I save close to $300 per year on haircuts.
Isn’t it great to know you’re saving so much money?? Yay!
I save a lot of money as well. Results are better than when I took my children to the barbershop. My boyfriend cuts my hair as I am a real DIY lady. And I get a better haircut than I ever did in the salon. Between the three of us, I’m saving around $900 a year. No chump change.
