My Mom is a great cook! Growing up she made a wonderful dinner every night for our family. One of my personal favorites was spaghetti night! It wasn’t until I was grown and married that I appreciated it and wanted the recipe for her homemade sauce. When I asked her about it, she told me a little secret. Well, the “homemade” sauce, wasn’t quite so home made.
Today I’m sharing her “homemade” (wink) sauce. Here are the ingredients…
3 ingredients people…just 3! Well, and some cooked ground beef or turkey!
Grandma Sue’s Spaghetti Sauce
1. Brown your ground beef. ( I use 1 pound) Drain fat, and then put back into skillet.
2. Add Lawry’s packet of spaghetti sauce, an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce and 1 cup of water to skillet. Mix Well. (Ignore the packet directions, it calls for tomato paste and more water)
3. Serve with your favorite noodles, a salad and some bread!
Wasn’t that easy??? Truly, it tastes like you worked for hours on it! No one needs to know your secret, right??
Now we know, Thanks Jill.
Thanks, Jill! That was so sweet! And I still use…and love this recipe!
