When our kids were little, we started a routine that helped “ease” them into bedtime. Because we had kids at all different age levels, bedtime was different for each one which made for a challenge. With a little consistency and routine, our kids didn’t fight bedtime but actually enjoyed it. Here’s the secret…..
The 3 “B’s”
Brush teeth– our kids have a bedtime snack at about 8:00, so it makes sense for them to brush their teeth before bed.
Book– We allow our kids to read a book for 15 minutes before lights are turned out.
Bedtime– Turn out the light, give em a smooch and it’s time to go to sleep.
It works for us!!!
Now, who can tell me how to get an 18 year old to bed at a decent hour???? Hahaha!!
