Hello, friends!! I would be lying to tell you that this Christmas was perfectly planned, all holly jolly and merry. I could get into all of the details about what my view looked like, peering out of the bathroom all of Christmas Eve Day. Let’s just call this year, the Christmas that wasn’t supposed to happen and call it quits with the details, mkay??

Needless to say, we did NOT get together as a family on Christmas day and eat all the food and play all of the games I had planned!
We postponed it all until the NEXT day (Wednesday) and had our fabulous food fest that night when family got off work. At that point my Dad then came down with the same little yucky virus that I had so they didn’t make it to the feast! BOO!!
FINALLY…..CHRISTMAS DINNER!!
Family started arriving….this cute little family got here first!! LOOK at LITTLE SANTA!!!!
TWO of the brothers were reunited…..Gotta love those UGLY sweaters!!
Now all THREE…..my 3 SONS!! I can’t believe no one tried to stand on tippee toes to be the tallest!! Can you believe my youngest boy is the tallest??
Son #2 and his wife… AWWWWWW!!
Son #3 with MEEEEEEEE!!!
Our daughter scooped Santa up RIGHT AWAY!!
We had a delicious dinner….we were HUNGRY!! The menu featured Ham, turkey, Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, noodles, rolls, 7 layer salad, green bean casserole, deviled eggs and strawberry pretzel salad.
YUM!!! Don’t you love that even though they couldn’t be here, my parents sent the food that they made down to us?? We enjoyed it so much!!
Dessert was amazing too!!
Apple Pie, pistachio cake, cupcakes, cookies & candy and a wonderful twice baked cheesecake (forgot to take a pic of that.)
We opened a few gifts after dinner…
She got her Wubbie… that’s the cozy sweater, btw…
I may be a little late to the show, but hubby got me an Instant Pot!! If you have any good recipes, please send them my way!!!! Maybe it’s a hint to cook more often!! Haha!!!
I think we all knew who the star of the show was…and he wasn’t spoiled one little bit!!
Little Minnie got a new treat jar!!
This blondie finally got worn out…
This is what I call a “Beautiful Mess!”
It got late, so we only played one game of FAMILY FEUD!!!
Team “Hot Tea” did NOT win….but played a good game!!
We are certainly BLESSED!!!
Merry Christmas from our HOME to YOURS!!
Oh, so wonderful. So sorry that we had to miss it. The food looked so good. At least the weather co-operated with those that had to drive. We thank everyone for the gifts, although, we haven’t opened them. Waiting until tomorrow. And just so you know….we love our family so very much. And, oh yes, my favorite pic was the little guy in the Santa Outfit. Love that smile……
We missed you, but glad Dad is feeling better!!
Sorry you were not able to celebrate the day. But no matter the day it is always a celebration when loved ones gather.
Looks like you could have invited the whole neighborhood with all that yummy food.
Yes, we had a ton of leftovers!! They are the best- no cooking for ME!!! It was a great night!!
I noticed the stockings and my sisters and I still have ours thanks to your talented mother! We hang them up every year and think of your parents! Happy holidays to you and your family!
Oh, that is so sweet! I had no idea! Thanks for leaving a note! Enjoy your break, Jackie!!
Chris made some yummy lemon Greek Yogurt in our instant pot. I haven’t used it yet. Your pictures definitely told a happy family celebrating!! Sorry you missed it Sue & Phil. 😥
Hi Dee!! Way to go, Chris- that sounds delish!! I have so much to learn about this instant pot! I hope an old dog can learn new tricks! Ha!!
Jill, you are truly blessed! I always enjoy reading your blog. I haven’t gotten an instant pot yet either, I’ll wait for you to test it out for me. 😉 Much love to you & your beautiful family…we love ALL of you Peterson’s & Mackey’s.
